Personal Apps Sync · Checklist

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 7, 2026

Personal Apps Sync is a collection of personal-use apps. This policy describes Checklist and its optional Google Drive connection; other apps maintain their own settings and data files.

Information used

Checklist stores information you enter: to-do items, named checklists, checklist completion, categories, notes, dates, appointment times, reminder settings and routine history. The app also keeps local synchronization metadata and uses the Google account email returned by the Google Drive API to identify the connected account and help avoid mixing accounts.

Where information is stored

Your planner data is stored in your browser's local storage so it can work while offline. If you choose to connect Google Drive, the app creates and updates a JSON data file at My Apps / Checklist / checklist-data.json in your own Google Drive account. You can also download JSON/CSV backups and store those files wherever you choose. Checklist does not automatically share those files with other Google accounts.

Google permissions and use

Google authorization is optional. Checklist requests the limited Google Drive drive.file permission to find, create, read and update the files and folders this app creates or that you explicitly grant it access to. It does not request permission to read all of your Drive files. It uses Google's sign-in service and Drive API for synchronization between your devices; your Google account email is also used to display the connected account.

Google user data obtained through this connection is used only to provide or improve the app's file-synchronization function. It is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with advertising networks.

Other services

This edition of Checklist is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard website requests and technical logs under its own terms. When you authorize Google Drive, Google's services process sign-in and file requests under Google's policies. The app does not include a separate developer-controlled analytics system or an advertising tracker.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Checklist uses browser notification permission for task reminders while the app is running and supported by your browser. It does not send reminder data to a separate push-notification provider in this version.

Security and access

Google access tokens are held in browser memory while the app is active, not written to Checklist's local-storage records. Data sent to Google uses HTTPS. Other people who can unlock or use your device or Google account may be able to access your local planner or Drive data. Keep your own backups and secure your devices.

Your choices and deleting data

You can use Checklist without Google Drive, revoke Google access, and export your data. Disconnecting Google Drive leaves your local tasks and existing Drive data file intact. To delete cloud data, disconnect on all devices first and remove the Checklist data file or folder from your Google Drive. To remove local data, clear this site's browser storage on each device after making any backups you want to keep. Reconnecting a device that still has local data may upload it to Drive again.

Changes and contact

This page may be updated when the app's features or data handling change. For questions about this personal-use app, use the user support contact shown on the Google authorization screen.
